CenterPoint Properties buys, develops, and manages industrial and infrastructure projects in transportation hubs throughout the US, primarily in Chicago and the Midwest where it is one of the region's largest industrial owners. It also owns around 320 buildings spanning almost 55 million sq. ft. of space, including warehouses, light manufacturing centers, distribution facilities, and container yards. CenterPoint also provides renovation services for ports and rail terminals and develops industrial and commercial properties for other owners. Subsidiary CenterPoint Capital helps secure project financing. Founded in 1984, the company is owned by CalEast Global Logistics, a group which includes Jones Lang LaSalle and CalPERS.
